Tonya Tibbetts Owner & Designer, Tonya Tibbetts graduated from Westbrook High School and Headhunters School of Hair Design in Portland, Maine. Tonya has completed three Academy Hair Courses in Washington, DC, which holds her ranking at an ‘advanced hair cutting’ level. She has been a color educator, mentor to many, and coach to many more. A veteran of Hair World USA (Las Vegas), SalonLife and IBS New York, Tonya has had the opportunity to be taught by some of the nations top educators including but not limited to: Irene Meikle, Frederic Fekkai, Robert Cromeans, Louis Alverez, Scott Cole, Linda Yodice, Toni & Guy, Eric Fisher, Dean Banowitz (American Idol Hollywood Hair Guy) and Nick Arrojo of TLC’s What Not To Wear. Tonya can be found in the salon, full time behind the chair. When not in the salon, she spends time adoring her Lhasa Apso, Winnie, spending time with family, traveling and reading.
Christine Kelly Christine hails from Fryeburg, Maine. A Fryeburg Academy graduate
in '06, Christine brings a youthful perspective to the salon. A true
giver at heart and the soul of sweetheart. Christine continues to
'step up' and volunteer at local events and strives to make a name
for herself in the lakes region community. Christine attended Spa
Tech Institute and completed the program in less than 11
Nia King A graduate of Bernard's School of Hair Fashion and Edward Little
High School, Nia is one of a kind. Salon at 616's most versitile and
loyal staff member. Nia exudes confidence and creativity. You can
find her in all areas of the salon on any given day...nail station,
styling area, facial/wax room and cosmetic bar. Nia is the salon's
Vision Hair Extension Expert. Her accolades include Advanced Updressing
classes by Aquage, OPI Professional Training and Chi Cutting. She
has attended the Spring Beauty Classic in Manchester, NH and attened
IBS Las Vegas this year. Nia participated in classes by Martin Parsons,
the industries #1 Updo
Amy Perreault Amy Perreault is a native to Oxford, Maine and graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. She currently resides in the lovely lakes region town of Naples. A graduate of Cosmotech School of Hair Design and a background in banking, Amy currently hold a position at Chalmer's Insurance Company in Bridgton while she works behind the chair at Salon at 616 three days a week. Amy makes herself available evenings and weekends, when people are most available to have salon services. She appreciates privacy and makes each clients experience special and comfortable. Amy's expertise is short and sassy ladies cuts and gentlemen's styles. She favors the razor and LOVES to create a new and dramatic change in her clients styles. Amy is very excited about being in the beauty industry as she finds it to be the most gratifying experience when your client looks at you and smiles. "You can just tell that you have changed their day for the better!" Family and friends are the most important thing in the world to Amy. Kylah Aker A 1997 graduate of Kennett High School, Kylah Aker, worked in retail
until she followed her passion and enrolled into Spa Tech's Kylah strengths are communication and follow through. You can always expect what you ask for from Kylah. A real sweetheart of a woman. If you're looking for a stylist who's fun, thoughtful, a good listener and a friend, you've found her right here at Salon at 616.
Christine Brown Christine Brown attended and completed Cosmotech's Nail Technician Training in November 2009. Christine opted to change careers and become a manicurist after being employed by Dielectric Communications as a buyer for five years. Christine thought it would be a great opportunity to complete the nail technician program and have a part-time trade to take with her throughout life. Having a nail technician certification allows you to travel, move and build a loyal clientele just about anywhere in the U.S. Currently, Christine also works as a bartender in Naples in the evenings where she is able to meet locals, welcome visitors and stay connected with the community. Christine owns a home in Casco with her husband, Tom, and their dog, Sadie. She enjoy outdoor activities and love horses. Christine tries to spend time with her horse, Josh, at least twice a week. Josh is boarded at a local farm in Raymond, just a few miles away. Christine also spends a lot of time with her family. She shares, "I think family is the most important thing in life"!
Mary Dawn Pitt Mary studied Cosmetology at Pierre's School of Beauty Culture (now
known as Empire Beauty School) and has artfully been creating
versatile styles for over 18 years. She spent the majority of her
career working at a salon in Windham, Maine where she acquired the
prestigious ranking of Redken Color Specialist. Mary enjoys being
creative with hair color and styles but ultimately her biggest joy in
the salon comes from happy clients! Outside of the salon, you will
find Mary enjoying her animals and children. Mary is one of the
sweetest women you will find in the world. We are happy she
celebrates working with our staff at Salon at 616 as she enters her
third year in Casco. If you feel best with a hair stylist who is
gentle, trusting, compassionate and kind, Mary is the perfect fit! Kelley Tibbetts Not only does Kelley 'coach' our local Lake Region Laker's
Cheerleaders but she'll 'coach' you on the most stylish and creative
Employment Opportunities:Salon at 616 is an Independent Contractor (Booth) Salon. All staff members work together as a team, but independently under their specific licensing. Booth fees are extremely affordable at Salon at 616, which allows new staff to be successful. We encourage both veteran salon/spa professionals to consider our establishment for their career environment as well as newly educated professionals just starting out in their respective fields.
